Introduction Paw Ledger is a local pet-care journal. The local journal lets you create a pet page or try a labelled sample, choose a household signature and record care tasks. Existing confirmations can be inspected and corrected. Records remain in browser storage; names are not verified accounts. Instructions come from the household, and the tool does not recommend feeding amounts or medical treatment. Backups remain the responsibility of the people using the page.

English tweet The bowl is empty. The pet looks convincing. Before trusting either witness, check who signed the care record.
碗空了,宠物的表情也很有说服力。相信任何一位“证人”之前,先看看谁在照护记录上签了名。

English tweet Open the sample in Paw Ledger, choose a signer and confirm a task. Watch a vague “someone did it” turn into a name the next person can ask.
打开 Paw Ledger 样本,选一个签名者,确认一项任务。模糊的“反正有人做了”,就变成了下一位能去询问的名字。

English tweet A name beside a task gives you someone to check with. It records what a person reported; it doesn’t certify what happened beside the bowl. That last bit still belongs to a conversation.
任务旁的名字,让你知道该找谁确认。它记下的是人的填报,不能证明碗边实际发生过什么。最后那一步,还是得聊一句。

A Checkmark Is Only Half a Handoff
一个勾,只完成了一半交接

Article headline A Checkmark Is Only Half a Handoff
Article body In a household, care is distributed across people who are often in different rooms or on different schedules. The task may be completed while its context disappears. Someone fills a bowl, another person sees an empty bowl later, and the household has to reconstruct what happened from memory.
Paw Ledger treats the missing context as a record problem. A name beside an action gives the next person something more useful than a floating checkmark. The journal can carry a confirmation, a correction and the instructions the household chose to write. Each part changes how the next caregiver interprets the entry.
There is a necessary limit to this form of accountability. A signature in a local journal is not identity verification, and a recorded feeding is not proof of care. The software records a report. It cannot see the room. Designing around that distinction keeps a duplicate warning useful without turning it into an authority it has not earned.
Corrections are equally important. If an entry was mistaken, the household should be able to undo it without pretending the earlier report never existed. A record that admits repair is often more trustworthy than one that only permits a perfect-looking day. The goal is a calmer handoff, with the animal's actual care still guided by the people responsible for it.
